Roland J. Garcia is a life-long resident of Bexar County. After graduating with honors from the University of Texas at San Antonio, he earned his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin.
While in law school he took several leadership roles in several organizations including becoming the Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Hispanic Journal of Law and Policy. He also participated in the Criminal Defense Clinic, Actual Innocence Clinic, Juvenile Justice Clinic, and the Immigration Clinic, always working to defend the rights of the accused and wrongfully convicted. Roland has never been a prosecutor and has never made a career of trying to take someone's liberty.
Since becoming licensed, he has dedicated his career to continuing to fight for the rights of those accused of crimes. He has worked on cases ranging from misdemeanors to capital murder at all stages. He also has experience in matters related to criminal cases, such as expunctions, non-disclosures, and asset forfeiture.
